The Child Service Assistant is responsible for assisting with the design, implementation and administration of a comprehensive therapeutic program for children of program participants.
ESSEN1'IAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess child and family needs and plan appropriate therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to individual, family and group counseling, play therapy, and educational seminars.
Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment planning. Schedule and participate in all therapeutic activities
Along with the Program Director, continually monitor the programs progress, instituting new programs and interventions as appropriate.
Maintain files and records and prepare correspondence and reports as required.
Coordinate services and act as liaison with other providers such as day-care centers and schools.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions and workshops as assigned. Participate in referral activities and other related duties.
Serve as a role model.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood education, counseling or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience in providing effective educational interventions and counseling to children.
Ability to apply organizational management skills.
Ability to work and communicate with others.
Possess valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Exposure to clients infected with Hepatitis B, HlV, TB.or other Infections Diseases is possible. Business-related travel may be required.
