SUMMARY
Performs general maintenance and
housekeeping under the direction of Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor as
well as site Program Director. Responsible
for the cleanliness of the facility, including but not limited to all common
areas, domestic trash pull, laundry removal, adherence to recycling, floors,
ceilings, walls, fixtures, bathrooms, dining areas, and bedrooms (as needed).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform highly diversified duties that
directly affect the cleanliness of the facility, including but not limited
to all common areas, domestic trash pull, laundry removal, adherence to
recycling, floors, ceilings, fixtures, bathrooms, dining areas, and
bedrooms as needed.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as
needed.
- Respond to work orders in a timely fashion.
- Ensure cleanliness and perform inspection of
bedrooms prior to arrival of new residents.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work
orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts,
test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance as
needed.
- Perform a variety of general plumbing,
maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Knowledgeable and safe handling of a variety
of hand and power tools in performing duties.
- Keep cleaning log and submit daily work sheets
to supervisor.
- Painting of facility (interior and exterior).
- Drywall repairs (e.g. spackling, compound)
- Assisting the Program Director and Facility
Supervisor to ensure compliance with State Codes and Standards
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Attend all required in-service trainings and
seminars.
- Meet monthly for supervision with Program
Director.
- Attend monthly maintenance meeting.
- Maintain attendance and be on time to work.
- Clean and disinfect areas contaminated by
bodily fluids.
- Proper use of PPE
- Knowledgeable of OSHA standards
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain
clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High
School Degree or GED required
- Minimum
of 2 years directly related experience, preferably in a service provider /
healthcare facility.
- Must
be computer literate - (Microsoft Windows Products).
- Experience
managing and meeting deadlines and knowing when to communicate or ask
questions.

- Although
this job operates in a professional indoor office environment, it also
performs work outdoors throughout the year encountering all weather (e.g.
heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.). The
primary function is to ensure the clean and safe maintenance of the
interior and exterior environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the
employee will interact with cleaning solvents, bodily fluids, etc., as may
be found in a healthcare facility. When
working indoors, the noise level in the work environment is generally
quiet however, during the use of power tools, etc.; the job site can be
loud.
SCHEDULING NEEDS
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with the
ability to be flexible based upon need
- Must be able to come to work as scheduled and
on time
