ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage clinical caseload of clients including, but not limited to, assisting in developing individual treatment plans, completing Metal Health evaluations, and counseling them in both individual and group formats, as indicated, or as requested by the medical director, program leadership, or PHNE executive leadership.

Conduct and deliver family meetings or other meetings with clients' social support systems unless clinically contraindicated, refused,  or not feasible

Provide clinical, non-medical direction to staff, interns, and volunteers to promote consistency and quality of services.

Review programming and record keeping for compliance with internal, local, state, and federal funding.

Adhere to federal confidentiality statutes (to include both HIPAA & CFR42 Part II).

Use Phoenix House systems, including Welligent Electronic Medical Record, to document notes and activities assigned.

Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training, and special agency events.

Maintain ongoing, working relationships with community agencies, funding sources and families to provide guidance to clients.

Assist in evaluating potential clients referred from Central Intake and apply ASAM criteria to level of care placement.

Effectively and responsibly, provide on-call support.

Effectively demonstrate sound judgment by making appropriate decisions in absence of clinical or administrative leadership.

Performs insurance pre-authorizations and ongoing utilization reviews for referrals/clients when needed

Assist clients with clinical needs surrounding insurance selection and /or enrollment as indicated.

Delivers treatment using evidence-based protocols, therapies and practices i.e. MET, DBT, and CBT;

Provides clients with individual, group, and educational services.

Maintains positive working relationships with agencies, resources, and families to coordinate services for client care; provides information on substance abuse treatment resources and services and makes necessary referrals.

Ensure that Follow up calls are made and documented in Welligent

Responds to client crises and emergencies as needed.

Maintains accurate, timely, case notes and group notes.  Documents developments and important events in accordance with clinical policies for reporting and record keeping.  Uses Phoenix House systems, including Welligent, effectively and appropriately.

Facilitates clinical and administrative staff meetings and case conferences to ensure continuum and quality of care.

Attends clinical supervision weekly

Implement daily schedule of program activities.  Enforce rules and programmatic procedures.  Monitors and facilitates program activities.  Engages in surveillance activities.

Reviews clinical files and conducts quality assurance reviews, as requested or assigned.

Completes all quality assurance record reviews and corrections as indicated and submit it to the QA auditor.

Serves as a role model through positive, appropriate conduct and projects a professional image to the public.

Maintain ADP files and complete Relias E-learning requirements in a timely fashion.

Consistently demonstrate the PHNE "Every Time Behaviors"

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge obtained through attainment of any behavioral health related applicable Master's degree license as is required by funding/licensing sources

Skill in developing rapport with substance-misuse populations.

Skill in coordinating and maintaining documentation.

Skill in complying with internal, local, state, and federal regulations and policies.

Skill in organizational management.

Skill in working and communicating with others.

Ability to provide direction to clinical staff, including clinical supervision for direct reports.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Knowledge obtained through completion of a counseling-related Master's Degree from an accredited institution, licensure at that level, and 2 years post-graduation clinical experience in the Behavioral Health Profession.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Candidate must have current, active driver's license and preferred Master Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) - or equivalent from another state with eligibility to obtain a license in the state in which practice will occur.

SCHEDULING NEEDS:  Weekend and/or holiday shifts may be required.
