ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

?Evaluate the performance of staff nurses, provide feedback and mentoring

?Develop educational programs, contributing to staff professional development

?Interview and hire nursing staff

?Assist in development of facility budgets

?Ensure staff is properly trained

?Address any personnel issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment

?Monitor patient care for quality

?Collaborate with other members of the facility triad, executive leadership, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services.

?Apply evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards

?Review patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of patient care

?Provide leadership, supervision and guidance of all nursing staff in accordance with organization policy.

?Ensure nursing services comply with internal, local, state and federal policies and regulations.

?Develop and coordinate orientation and training programs for nurses and recovery support staff.

?Coordination of CPR/FA training for all Dublin/Keene Center Staff.

?Order and maintain medical supplies and medications.

?Perform retrospective audits on all medical charts.

?Responsible for managing and maintaining all nursing schedules and coordination of call-outs.

?Provide nursing care to patients as necessary.

?Provide shift coverage when necessary.

?Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned.

?Is available 24/7 for emergencies, staff support and nursing callouts.

?Serve as role model.

?Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

?Knowledge and skill obtained through attainment of current Registered Nurse license for assigned program and three years of nursing experience.

?Skill in assigning and directing work as evidenced by one year of supervisory experience.

?Skill in med-surg care as evidenced by two years of experience.

?Knowledge of detoxification/SUD services as evidenced by at least one year of experience in a detoxification setting.

?Skill in patient assessment and implementation of nursing protocol.

?Ability to work and communicate with others.

?Current RI Nursing License

?Pursuit of CARN
