Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with X-Waiver - Exeter, RI

REQUIREMENTS:

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will be working in a 24/7/265 substance use disorder setting as well as providing telehealth services.  The PMHMP will also perform exams and obtain histories, prescribe medication, and clinically indicated follow up visits, order tests and treatments, and consult with the clinical team.  This position will provide primarily on-site professional services at our Exeter, RI program and approximately 20% telehealth services to other sites, across the organizational footprint.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Master's Degree Required
  • RI State Nursing License Required.  NH and MA licenses highly desired but not required, with willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Board certification as a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
  • ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Certified in CPR / ACLS
  • Current DEA License
  • Current X-waiver to prescribe MAT agent(s), or commitment to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • All licenses must remain active and in good standing.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing high-quality health care to a diverse patient population, preferably within an inpatient setting.
  • Experience with substance use disorders preferred.
  • Experience demonstrating organizational management skills and maintenance of self and client discipline.
  • Experience providing quality assessments and maintaining medical notes in EMR system.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of theoretical and pharmacologic issues related to clinical treatment of common psychiatric disorders.
  • Writing timely and accurate notes in the EMR system documenting client interaction.
  • Correct application of CPT Codes for billing services
