-Observe and evaluate clients, relating all pertinent information to the Counselor for clinical application
-Assists Counselors in assuring accurate record-keeping of vital information such as telephone logs, scheduled house activity, house security checks, night coverage reports, visitors log, client appointments and vehicle schedules.
-Coordinates/facilitates daily activities; oversees and supervises resident job functions as well as morning meetings, groups, seminars, house meetings and other activities as directed, ensuring efficient day-to day operation of the program.
-Also administers behaviorally appropriate sanctions (i.e., learning experiences and contracts).
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's Degree preferred Must be at least a Certified Recovery Support Worker or working towards this certification
EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of residential treatment communities and, where required, penal institutions, preferably with sufficient training and experience to have demonstrated competence in the field of drug treatment. Ability to perform under clinical and administrative pressures. Experience of clinical assessment/intervention to help assess and evaluate all resident behavioral patterns, progress, attitudes, job performance and transfers. Must be comfortable with one-to-one counseling, group process and other therapeutic concepts. Must be capable of using solid judgment in establishing appropriate treatment plans for clinical intervention.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be cognizant of Phoenix House policies and able to follow appropriately and consistently when applicable to include DOCS protocols and procedures.
